Mata & Gambar

Hari ni last aku MC. Moral of the story, mataku masih merah menyala...ok la, macam Edward dalam cite Twilight tu.

Muahahahaha...nak ngaku jadi pontianak seksi gak tu.

Serba salah nak pi ofis ni sebenarnya. Keje memang la banyak, hari2 sms masuk hal keje. Dah check email, tapi banyak la keje yang perlukan face to face punya discussion. Dah la tengah sibuk sign off processes...aku lak menghilang dari ofis. Tapiiiiii, kalau aku pi esok, and then ada ofismate yang kena sakit mata...sapa yang salah? Aku kah...atau boss ku yang hari2 sms aku, buat aku serba salah tak masuk ofis? Soklan cepu emas.

Apa2 pun, aku hoping kalau aku pi ofis, takde la nyangkit penyakit ni kat sapa2. Buhsan woo sakit mata ni. Dah la annoying, asyik kena korek taik mata je keje. Bangun pagi, kena meraba pi toilet dulu, bersihkan taik mata yang berkerak. Mata nampak kelabu, asyik berair...giller sakit hati.

Tu la...agaknya aku ni asyik guna mata untuk pandang benda2 tak senonoh je kot..tu yang Allah tarik balik nikmat aku untuk melihat. Muahaaha..apa kebendanya benda tak senonoh tu? Aku pun tak tau...aku bukan peminat porno, setakat tengok MTV tu kot, tahap keseksian yang aku tengok. Mungkin la...takkan setakat tengok laki sendiri XXX pun takleh kot...dah laki aku..bukan tengok laki orang lain. Hmmm...tapi anak2 aku lak camne? Setakat tengok Playhouse je. Apalah, dah dugaan Allah bagi...lagi mau examine panjang lebar.

Takpe, habis dah cite sakit mata. Kita buat tag la plak. Mesti dah agak kan, sebab aku tulis entri ni dalam Bahasa Melayu. So nak buat tag le gamaknya.

Ni tag ni dah berzaman lamanya...aku baru nak buat. Rasanya semua bloggers kat dunia dah buat dah. Aku biasa la, manjang ketinggalan zaman. Takpe..asal tak nyusahkan orang. Lagipun, ni blog aku, sukati mak nenek aku la bila nak buat.

The Rules are simple. Use Google Image to search the answers to the questions below. Then, you must choose a picture in the first page of result and post it as your answer. After that tag 12 people.

Q.1 : THE AGE OF YOUR NEXT BIRTHDAY?
Oh, dah tua dah aku. Walaupun orang selalu cakap, life starts at 40, aku rasa time tu aku dah ingat nak mati je kot. Insaf la konon, kita tunggu dan lihat.

Q.2 : PLACE I LIKE TO TRAVEL THE MOST?

Ni memang tempat favorite aku. Ada umur, ada rezeki aku nak pi lagi. Kali ni aku nak pi time summer, bleh jejalan kat gardens dia. Bleh naik bot dia. Bleh baring2 kat park dia, sambil suap2 hubby makan strawberry cicah coklat. Muahahahaha...romantik maut lak aku!

Q.3 : MY FAVORITE FOOD?

Wakakakakaka...

Q.4 : NICKNAME THAT I HAVE ?

Tu, yang kena bulat warna merah tu. Itu je gambar yang ada.

Q.5 : MY FAV COLOR? Ni dari kecik sampai sekarang, aku memang suka kolor ni. Dulu asal beli baju je, kolor biru. Sampai ibu aku pun sound, cuba la kolor lain lak. So aku cuba la jugak...tapi bila pakai terasa kurang menawan lak. Hahahah..salah aku ke, salah baju tu?

Q.6 : THE CITY I LIVE NOW?

Q.7 : THE PLACE I WAS BORN? Sememangnya aku anak jati bandar. Tapi kawin ngan mamat kampung. Itu namanya opposites attract. Hahahaha...kampung sangat ke Melaka tu. Agak terasa hina la nanti hubby baca ni nanti..takda la bi, main2 je. Jangan marah, nanti mata makin merah. Hehehe..

Q.8 : MY COLLEGE MAJOR Electrical & Electronic Engineering sebenarnya. Oya, campur Double Maths. Giller geek aku time college. Dah la susah nak maut...10 kali sesal aku ambik course tu. Tapi pikir2 balik, kalau aku tak ambik dulu, aku takkan jumpa ngan hubby. So in the end, ada la jugak hikmatnya.

Q.9 : MY BAD HABIT? Ya, aku memang suka menangguh kalau buat keje. Dari zaman sekolah dulu, last minute baru nak buat homework, last minute baru nak baca buku. Dah tu time exam, pi sekolah terasa nak terkoncing manjang sebab takut. Nanti fail, kena balun ngan ayah. Dah takleh nak tunjuk muka time raya. Hampes sungguh. Tapi aku macam tak serik, masalah suka menangguh ni terbawak sampai dah beranak pinak, dah keje 10 tahun. Tu la sebabnya, tiap hari masuk keje je, aku kena spend 1/2 jam pikir dulu, buat senarai aku matlamat keje aku hari ni. Kalau tak, surfing YouTube je la keje aku nanti.

Q.10 : MY HOBBY? Paham tak gambar kat atas. Jigsaw puzzle la. Memang aku minat tapi dah lama tak buat. Tapi aku still consider hobby la. Dulu masa kat US, aku selalu buat untuk hubby, yang gambar underwater sea tu. Hubby suka sebab ada gambar whale. Whale tu binatang favorite dia. Dulu, dia kata kalau kaya, dia nak bela whale. Serious je cite ngan aku. Aku pun layan, siap tambah, ok, aku nak bela polar bear. Bagus la, dua2 angan2 ntah hapa2.

Q.11 : MY WISH ? Ye ah, ni memang harapan semua orang la kan. Nak keluarga dia happy, sihat. Yang lain tu semua material je, hal dunia. Lagipun macam sekarang, satu famili aku kena sakit mata, tak guna la ada seratus juta hinggit pun, kalau takleh nak nikmati.

Kena tag 12 orang ke? Bukan semua orang dah buat? Takpe, sapa nak buat, buat la. Nanti aku mai blog korang baca yang korang lak merapu.

My Resolution as a Parent

2009 is coming to an end soon. A new year is coming...time to make (and break) those new year's resolutions. Here are some I'm making as a parent.

1) Spend more time with the children.
The girls are growing up at warp speed. Dania will be in standard 2 next year, Dina will be attending her last year at Pre-school. Daria will turn One...she's already starting to take her 1st steps!! It's crazy...one moment, they're small, helpless lumps in my arms, depended on my breasts for survival, the next minute, they're running around the house, yelling and screaming, eating everything in the fridge with an appetite of 10 men. I'm still freaking out over the fact I'm a mom...and my kids are already getting ready to leave the house.
I hope work will be more tolerant in 2010...and I can get back home in time to play badminton with the girls or go for a 10 minute walk around the block before dinnertime. Fingers crossed.

2) Stop being kiasu (overly competitive).
I don't think hubby or I have much problem in this area. We've always been pushing the girls to do their best without being overdoing it. When Dania wanted to quit piano lessons, we let her because she really didn't have the drive for it anymore. Plus it also meant more money for us to use for other stuff for the girls.

3) Take time to better communicate with the children, collectively and individually.
I need to work on this more when I'm with the kids. I'm pretty good with Daria but with Dania and Dina, I tend to tune out sometimes. My mind would wonder about work or something I'm seeing on the TV. It's bad enough I only get to spend a few hours with them during the weekdays; I should make those hours count. Also, I should learn to communicate my frustrations better. Hubby should do the same. The girls are getting bigger and just telling them 'No" doesn't cut it sometimes.

4) Stop comparing your children to other people's children.
I remember my mom would sometimes do this and I hated it. I know she meant well, and it was her way of motivating me but still....I hope I don't do this to my girls. I love them just the way they are.

5) Encourage the children in what they are passionate about even if you think it's a waste of time.
The girls love drawing and doing creative stuff. Maybe I should find more creative outlets for them.

6) Stop beating yourself up if you make a mistake as a parent.
I do this on a daily basis. I think moms have it harder than dads, somehow we have this perverted POV that we need to be superwoman all the time.

7) Make time for your spouse.
Despite knowing how ultra important this is, hubby and i definately have to work more on ourselves next year. Too many cold wars fought. Ever since Daria was born, we haven't had a night just for the 3 of us. Maybe when Daria has weaned off, we'll go for another honeymoon.

8) Stop farming out parenting to the maid and / or babysitter.
I am sooo guilty of doing this, especially during the weekends. I like to ship the kids downstairs to watch Tv and then get back in bed for more sleep. Bad mother? Maybe not in the scheme of things but still, it's time I could be spending more with the girls.

9) Get healthy.
Hubby, are you listening? Ok, so maybe I need to exercise more too. Now's a great time to buy that Wii I've been saving for. Anyone who has one...where did you buy yours and how much did it cost?

10) Have fun.
Disneyland, here we come. I'm hoping all our planning and saving up will be worth it. That the girls will have a great time and have enough happy memories to last them a lifetime.

Eye Infection Update

I'm still on MC, thanks to this damn eye infection. It's gotten from bad to worst. Now my eyelids are swollen and I can hardly open my eyes. Even gross, my eyes are secreting brown liquid. Hubby's eyes are just as bad. Dania has infection in her left eye, for some reason her right eye is ok. And with some divine intervention, Dina has (so far...knock wood) evaded the plague. She's been pretending to be a DIVA and gotten to wearing her sunglasses in the house.

We've went to another clinic and got more medication. The doctor was worried if any of us had any mucus or filament in our eyes; luckily we're still not that bad.

I hope my eyes get better really soon. Work is piling up and the project is at such a critical stage right now. Plus it's so boring being sick with eye infection. Can't watch a lot of TV, can't surf the internet too much, can't go out. I've been laying around all day, periodically stuffing my face with food. I am soooo going to get fat after this!!

Infection

Sorry for the long silence. Been really busy with work eventhough a lot of people are already taking long holidays to finish off their annual leaves.

I've been spending the past few days at home too, not because I'm on holiday.

I have the pink eye. Really bad.

It started with Daria. Hers wasn't too bad, just slightly red. Good thing it wasn't itchy so she didn't rub her eyes much. Just as she was getting better, I suddenly started getting gooped up poo in my eyes.

I went to the clinic, got some eye drops and eye cream and got a day off. That was Sunday. On Monday, my eyes looked even more zombie-like, all red and veiny. I went back to the clinic and got the rest of the week off.

Hubby and Dania also got a taste of the pink eye but because they got antibiotics, theirs wasn't so bad. Hubby took only one day off. Dania's eye wasn't even red, just slightly swollen.

I probably should take antibiotic but the doctor warned me, that it could cause Daria diarrhea if I breastfed her. Hmm...if my eyes are worst tomorrow, I'll drag myself to the clinic again and get those antibiotics. I'll probably do the "pump and dump" technique while I'm on them.

I took pictures of my eyes with my handphone but somehow I can't transfer the images via bluetooth. I'll get hubby to try when he gets back.

Arghh...just 20 minutes in front of the laptop and my eyes are killing me!! Who knew eyeballs could throb!!!

Edit: Hold on, figured how to use the bluetooth. OK, here's what my eye looks like right now. This is the left one, the right one is just as bad. Beware...do not stare for more than 5 seconds.

ARGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Long Weekend

**This is a previous post that was supposed to be posted ages ago. In lue of my pink eye (still pink!!), I'm not in any shape to post anything new yet. So just bear with me.

Since Friday was a holiday (Awal Muharam), we were supposed to go back to Melaka to see my in laws. However, my MIL called; everone there is suffering from an eye infection. My SIL is the worst, her damn eyeball is bleeding!! Uwaaaaa...

So we cancelled that plan and got the rare opportunity to just stay at home for a change. We didn't do much on Friday except for some springcleaning and the usual laundry marathon.

On Saturday, hubby decided to take the kids out. We had promised Dania a new bicycle since she got good results for her final exam. She got 2nd in class. Yeah, Dania. Since she got 2nd, she didn't get the scooter she wanted. Promises are promises. She was a bit dissapointed but I told her, if she still wanted one next year, I would consider using her own money to buy it.

We went to Sunway Pyramid. Daria was such an angel, only crying when she wanted some milk. We had lunch at Burger King and just enjoyed the sights and sounds there. There was a Miss Tourism pegant thingy going on so lots of people were checking that out. To be honest, the ladies weren't all that hot. Heee...

Dania and hubby tried out the new archery place. They had a promotion going on. Actually Dania tried for free while hubby only paid RM9 for 15 arrows or so. Dina was too small to try and Daria decided to wake up at that time, so maybe next time for me.

We walked some more and unfortunately for Dania, we couldn't find a shop that sold any bikes. In the end, the only shopping we did was some shower cream for Daria and some strings for hubby's badminton racket. But it was great family time for us all.

Dina's Concert 2009

Daria is 7 months old today. WTH?!! Time flies too quickly when it comes to my little one. She already crawling everywhere like crazy and she's starting to stand too. I have a feeling she'll be walking before her 1st birthday. Sigh...it's times like this I feel like quitting to stay with the kids. They're all growing up too fast!!

***********************************************

I need to blog about Dina's concert before it becomes stale news. Her concert was on the 5th and since it was early in the morning (9am), some people WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS did not show up, eventhough they said they would. But Hubby, Dania, my mom and myself were there so in other words THOSE WHO MATTERED were there, so all was good.

Here is the program of the concert. Dina participated in the one circled in red.

Sabar je la kan? Mentang2 cikgu dia Indian. Hmmm...

The ceremony started with performances from some of the teachers. Then the necessary speeches from the principal and VIPs. Good god, please, next time do not invite a politician as your VIP. These people are born with a mic in their hand and can go on and on and on and on. Talk about loving the sound of your own voice! Sheeshh...

The rest of the kids performances were entertaining. Unfortunately Dina was not among the students selected for the Best Performance Award. It turns out she got 4th in class and only the top 3 got prizes. Oh well, try harder next time, I guess.

Finally it was Dina's time to perform. I moved to the front to try and get a better view. However there were some very kiasu parents who insisted in standing up (??) to record their kids, without giving thought to the other parents at the back. Dude!! I did not wake up at 630am and wait for 5 hours to see my kid dance, only to be greeted by your hairy, fat ass!! Inconsiderate bastard!!

I moved to the side of the hall to try to get a glimpse on Dina there. Unfortunately her teacher stuck her in the middle of her dance group and surrounded her by her bigger classmates. I did try to take some photos; here are the results.

Shaking!! Let's try again. Oh my god, what is wrong with my camera??!!

I took some videos but the quality is equally bad. I waited until the last performance by all the kids to take a few more photos, hoping that this time I would be able to see Dina. This time she was placed in front. However,..... OMG, I don't know what setting I must have pressed but the pictures all came out b&w. Arghhh!!!

I caught up with hubby outside and complained about the camera. Rosak dah agaknya.

He fiddled around with it and took this picture.

Huh!!

Dowry Increase - An Issue?

This morning on our way to work, hubby and I listened to the radio. Today's hot topic was about the increase of mas kahwin (dowry) for those getting hitched in Selangor, from RM40 to RM300.

As expected, the guys were all against it while the women were all for me.

In my opinion, What is RM300 when you really think about it? To me, if you can't afford RM300 dowry, then you're not financially prepared to get married in the first place. If you can afford the latest handphone gadget or updating your car with the latest accessories every month, you can surely save at least RM300. Try bringing plain water to work instead of buying that everyday teh tarik. Do whatever you can to cut down expenses, nak seribu daya, taknak seribu dalih, tul tak?

The dowry is the only amount that really belongs to the wife later on. All the hantaran money and such, all goes to the wife's parents, as payment (or partial payment) for the wedding ceremony.

Let's look at it from this angle, RM300 for what? 20-30 years of marriage? That adds up to what...RM10 per year? Surely...surely...you wife, the one you are marrying, the woman you love with all your heart, the one who will carry your future kids is worth at least that!!

To me, all this huhaa about the increase in dowry should not be an issue in the first place. It's what happens after the marriage that matters.

Highlights of These Past Weeks

So many things to blog about but so little time to do so. Here are some highlights of the stuff that happened these past few weeks.

Dina's concert was a hoot. Hahhah, but too bad the teacher stuck her in the middle, behind the largest girl in the class. I saw her fleetingly for a few seconds than gave up straining my neck for a better view. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to buy the CD the school will sell next year.

Planet 51 review. It was great, even better because we all got free tickets. Thanks Normah!! I'll write more about the movie and how the kids related to it in another post.

My brother's knee operation. Dude, one month in bed, you're sure going to get gendut!!

My dad's birthday celebration. 58 years old and still going strong. Thanks Ayah for being there for us all throughout these years. Love you.

Hal Tenant Lagi

Ni terasa nak luahkan perasaan la ni. Pepagi dah buat aku angin, lepas tu manjang la jadi kes aku gaduh laki bini nanti.

Ni hal tenant apt aku. Hal tenant ni memang best cite kan? Macam2 kerenah.

Family ni, awal bulan lepas contact aku bagitau nak sewa apt aku. Aku ni, hal tenant memang sangat cerewet, so banyak la soal kan…dari mana, berapa orang anak, bla, bla, bla. Memula aku tengok family ni macam ok je la…tapi agak desperate nakkan apt aku. Tapi mintak kurang harga. Aku ni sebab sangat baik hati punya orang…okla, bagi la murah sket, dah la sewa include maintenance fee, tapi takpe la..apt tu pun dah habis bayar, so aku takde le risau nak bayar bank ke apa.

Memula family tu nak duduk on the 16th. Since masa tu baru awal bulan, aku bagi la option; kalau nakkan apt tu, kena bayar deposit full so that aku takyah carik orang lain. Kang aku takut, awal2 je beria2 nakkan apt tu…then tetiba tak jadi. Padahal aku dah tarik balik iklan aku semua, rugi la kan.

So dia setuju. Tapi bagi deposit sebulan je. Aku bagitau, deposit kena la full, 2 bulan campur deposit api air campur 1st month rental. Negotiate punya negotiate, aku bagi la dia ambik kunci dulu sebab dia kata nak tengok dulu condition apt aku. Siap dating ambik kat ofis aku, hangkut semua anak2 dia lagi. Aku pun ok la, fair la kan…orang nak duduk rumah, mesti la nak tengok condition dia dulu. Kang buatnya toilet tersumbat semua, tingkap takleh tutup ke apa, haru je plak. So aku pun bagi la kunci tapi bagitau dia, nanti pulangkan la kunci tu. Bila on the 16th dia nak duduk nanti, aku bagi balik kunci tu sekali ngan agreement.

A few hours lepas tu, the wife call. Bagitau derang setuju duduk rumah tu tapi nak simpan kunci. Kes malas nak berpatah balik ke ofis aku la tu. Aku pun ok la, since you dah ambik kunci, I consider you ambik apt tu. So minta bayar the rest of the deposit cepat2 and agreement will start today (the day derang ambik kunci, which was on the 3rd). Time tu ok je the wife setuju.

Semalam, aku perasan duit sewa tak masuk lagi. Semalam berapa haribulan…7 dah kan? Selalu orang bayar sewa rumah 1-3 hb kan? OK la, aku pun sms the wife, bagitau agreement dah siap, nanti weekend kita mai ambik signature dia…oya, sewa rumah tolong bank in kan.

Alih2 malam tadi, the wife call. Aku tengah sibuk ngan Daria so aku soh la hubby jawab. Bila dah sudah, hubby bagitau the wife tak setuju nak start agreement on the 3rd, nak jugak start on the 16th sebab itu tarikh dia masuk apt. Aku pun heran la, aritu ok je, alih2 ni tak ok lak. Lagipun pada aku, tak kisah la dia masuk berapa haribulan, yang penting bila dia ambik kunci tu, dah consider dia ambik la apt tu. Bukan aku bleh tunjuk apt kat orang lain ke apa.

So aku pun apa lagi, start la tak puas hati. Aku memang pantang la, orang start tak advantage bila kita dah accommodate habis untuk dia.

So pagi ni aku pun sms the wife. Bagitau, sorry, my hubby salah bagi info. Appreciate kalau kita start agreement on the day you took the key. Alih2 the wife call aku. Terus marah2. Cakap aku tak fair kat dia sebab soh dia bayar 2 minggu extra. HUH?!! Aku cakap, manade aku soh bayar extra. Aku based kan on the day yang you ambik kunci. Dia tak puas hati, cakap “I dah bagitau you, we all masuk on the 16th kan.” Aku pun cakap la, ye saya tau, tapi you ambik kunci on the 3rd. Saya ada mintak balik kunci tu tapi you takmo pulangkan. So I consider you ambik dah apt tu on the 3rd. Bila you actually masuk tu, not really my concern.

Prum pram prum pram, the wife dok basuh aku. Aik? Aku lak yang kena basuh?!! Last2 dia jerit kat aku, ye la, since you are the landlord and you dah marah2 kat I (HUH?? Sapa marah sapa ni??), I masukkan la duit sewa esok, eventho I rugi 2 minggu. Lepas tu letak.

Huh. Aku pantang la orang macam ni kan. Dulu cakap lain, sekarang cakap lain. Lepas nak put the blame on me. Aku pun dengan gembiranya sms balik.

Puan, kalau u rasa rugi 2 minggu and nak marah2 myself, maybe takde rezeki I ambik U as my tenant. I can come now and pulangkan all ur money and we just call it a day. From where I see it, when u took the keys and decided not to give back, i cld not show the house to anyone else and considered u nak ambik rumah tu. That’s why I started the agreement on the day u took the keys.

Dua kali the wife cuba call aku. Aku tengah panas hati ni, jangan la ko nak ajak aku bertekak lagi. Kang ada yang nangis kang. Ofismate aku pun dah jeling2 aku semacam je, dengar minah tu marah2 aku on the phone tadi.

Last2 the wife sms aku balik.

Will bank in d rental 2moro morning.

Hah…bleh pun!!

Thnigs Giving Me a Headache

Dina's concert is this Saturday. Yesterday her teacher gave her a note to give to me. It read, "Dear Dina's mom. Please give Dina white pantyhose to wear during the concert. Anything, please call my handphone."

The thing is....I'm working!! Hello!!! Where got time to go shop for white pantyhose for my child? This morning Dina cried going to school because she was the only one (according to her) that didn't have any white pantyhose yet. I had to call up my mom to see if she could swing by the house and take Dina shopping. In the end, the teacher called me to inquire about the pantyhose. I asked her to buy it for me then send the bill. Habis cite...it would have been easier if the teacher told me about the damn pantyhose last week. I could have taken Dina out shopping during the weekend. Grrrrr...

One more thing, I've already paid Rm100 for this bloody concert. Why do I need to pay more for her costume? When is Dina ever going to wear white pantyhose after this? Grrr....

********************************

I owed Bun lunch so today we went out. I wanted to check out the book sale at Amcorp Mall so he picked me up at the office and we drove there. We spent 45 minutes looking for a bloody parking spot!! Stupid mall. In the end, we decided to just go have Kopitiam at Jaya One instead. I did not get to buy any books and Bun had to pay RM2 for parking for nothing. Grrrr....

********************************

Why do some people keep forgetting what they say, 2 minutes after they say it? And then they end up scolding the little people...for following their damn orders in the first place??!! I understand sometimes the policies and processes of the companies are a hassle but it's better to follow them and cover our asses than be called up by the Audit team later on. It's a "damned if I do, damned if I don't" situation. Grrrrr....

She is Mobile!!

Daria's already crawling. CRAWLING!! It took her 2 days to learn to sit and a few days after that, she was moving backwards on all fours. A few days after that, she was moving forward.

Now that she's mobile, I've become very anal about the cleanliness of the floor. Fortunately bibik is the same, so she sweeps and mops the kitchen floor every morning.

I can't believe my little baby is growing up so fast. Soon she'll be walking and then running. Soon she'll wean off the breast and there won't be anymore special "us time" for me and Daria. It's not fair...I'm suppose to enjoy her baby months for much longer.

Does this make me want to have another baby soon?

Hah!!! NO!!!

Last Minute .....As Usual

It's 2.33am and I'm still up doing this stupid ERM thingy. Of course, it's due tomorrow, so tonight...pulun sampai siap!! What should have taken me 2 hours tops has turned into 5 hours and clock still ticking, thanks to my intermittent internet connection. Plus this stupid page keeps time outing, eventhough I stay on.

Grrrr...good thing I slept in the evening. Tido asar pun, tido asar la. Janji esok pagi tak ngantuk. Uwwaaaa...I start work again tomorrow after a whole week off.

Can I have another week please???

**Editted: In the end, I had to do the test 3 times (the max amount). My last attempt was the highest score...salah satu je. Lantak ko la labu....dapat 5 ke pun MAPS in the end? Kuangkuangkuang...

Blog Tag - Stupid Things I've Done

Mana ntah aku dapatkan tag ni. Biasa la, dah takde idea, otak tepu, tensen..apa kata kita layan blog je la. Buat tag ni best dalam bahasa melayu...senang aku nak carut2 kalau apa.

Level 1
(x) Smoked A Cigarette: 1st time aku isap benta'alah ni, konon sebab tensen famili aku kena pindah ke Melaka. Elok2 aku sekolah kat SJ, dah la masuk popular group (kes perasan ke?), kena angkut ke sana lak. Ada sebulan kot aku dok isap batang rokok ni. Alih2 kena tangkap ngan achik aku (adik ibu), kena ugut nak bagitau ayah aku...tobat!! Quit cold turkey!! Hahaha..tapi lepas tu, time tensen exam kat Vandy, ada jugak la aku isap gak. Member isap aku, Liza. Sesama layan perasaan sambil naik swing kat taman memalam. Hahahaha....
( ) Smoked A Cigar
(x) Kissed A Member Of The Same Sex: Setakat cium pipi ada la, cium tangan. Cium sampai sentuh2 lidah tu takde ah...ini bukan Madonna menaip yer!

Level 2

A Week Off

At my in laws for Raya Haji. The weather is mighty hot today. I have a headache due to lack of sleep. Poor Daria still has her cough, plus her nose is now blocked up. I can imagine the discomfort she's in. Her medication doesn't seem to be working. I think we'll need to take her back to the clinic for a follow up check up, maybe take some gas to relieve her stuffiness.

I was on leave the whole of this week, eventhough my boss did sms me to ask whether I could cut it short. Our tender evaluation and presentation has finally gotten the result and eventhough the vendor selected was not what we suggested, I just could not bring myself to care anymore. What else is new, heh? Let the work commence when I get back next week. It's gonna be nose to the grind until we launch next year. Even now there's email flying around saying that all leave applications have been frozen..yeah, right!! You want your staff to work non-stop?! Come on, give us the benefit of the doubt to arrange our leave so it won't interfere with work. Surely not everyone is going on leave on the same time.

The kids had fun at the hotel with my parents. Poor Daria couldn't swim in the pool due to her cough so had to be content to watch from the side. She was an angel most of the time, only crying when it was time to take her medicine and when she was tired.

Great, it's started raining. I guess the heat was a sign that it was going to rain this afternoon. God, I hope it rains long. I'm ready to strip naked and lounge around nude if the heat doesn't stop soon. Argghh, I think it's best I go take a bath instead. Latersss...

Updates On The Kids

I could bitch and moan about work until no end, so enough of that. Let's talk about the kids for now.

Dania is on her last week of school. Already she's asking "which hotel are we going to stay in for the holidays?" Mak ai..good thing my parents have planned such an outing for next week. 4 days at *location undisclosed*...just lounging around, playing at the pool and NOT thinking about work (if that is possible).

Dina, on the other hand, only finishes school mid December. So for next week's holiday outing, she'll have to cut classes. Good thing she's done with her finals already, only waiting for her concert on the 5th.

Daria...she's sitting up by herself already!! That baby is growing up way too quickly. Hubby shaved her head (again!!) but her hair is starting to grow back already. Yesterday we took her to get her Hep B shots and she weighs 9kg!! That's an additional 0.6kg from last month. Pergh...semangat anak ibu!! Too bad she now has a cough, thanks to Dina for sharing. Hopefully the cough will pass soon. I think this is the first time she's been sick. I would like to think that breast milk rules!!

I'll post up more pictures of the kids soon. I need to take a quick nap. Lepas ni, sesi nak kena marah lagi...uwaaaa..

It's a Damn Marathon Baby

I'm tired. So tired. We're nearly at the finish line but I just have no energy to make this final sprint. Part of me wants to just roll over and accept whatever decision is made. Part of me thinks..after 3 years doing this damn project...to let go now....

Our final battle begins and ends on the 20th. Que Sera, Sera...

Wisdom

Not the kind that I'm full of. Heh! I'm talking about this damn tooth that's trying to come out.

Dah tua bangka pun ada gigi nak tumbuh lagi?!

It started last Thursday. I woke up and noticed my right cheek was slightly swollen. I couldn't feel anything and when I tried to look inside, whatever was causing the swelling was too far back.

On Friday, the swelling had significantly increased. Plus, I had started to feel some pain. I couldn't brush my back teeth without hitting the soft spot. By lunch time, the swelling had also started to throb so I took half day off to go to the dentist. Since hubby was working in Cyber, I took the ERL there and he met me at the station.

The dentist took one look at my swollen face and made a bet, "I'm pretty sure it's your wisdom tooth."

She was right. Apparently the tooth had just started to break the gums and food had gotten trapped within. Since I couldn't brush that far back, the leftover food caused the swelling and apparently some pus.

Pus!! In my mouth!!!

Hubby is sooo gonna want to french kiss me after this.

The doctor couldn't do much, not until the swelling had subsided so she prescribed me some painkillers (I love!!) and some antibiotic (low dosage since I'm still breastfeeding). If the swelling hasn't subsided in a week, then she might recommend to do some minor surgery.

Surgery!! In my mouth!!!

I so did not sign up for this. *Sigh*.

48

That's the number of minutes I got to spend with my kids these past days. 48 minutes out of 72 hours. That's 48 minutes out of 4320 which equals to 2%.

2%!!!

Yesterday I was really worn out. Believe it or not, when I arrived at the office, I took an hour and slept in the car to recharge. Even then when I walked in the office, I was still groggy from fatigue plus other matters that I no need to mention here. Luckily I only had to be on standby for the meeting and not actually have to attend it. So for once, I got to go home on time. The best part was, when I reached home, Dania asked me, "Ibu, didn't you got o work today?"

Yep, having me come home at 12pm had become the norm for the kids. So seeing me walk in the door at 7pm was cause for celebration. I made them stay up for as long as they could on a school night and just cuddled up with them in front of the TV.

It's during times like this I wonder if my decision to be a FTWM is the right thing for my kids. But this is just seasonal. Let's hope the all the havoc and hard work pays out and things can settle back to normal.

When All She Wants Is Her Mother

Last weekend the family went back to Melaka for a wedding and my SIL's boy's 1st birthday. It was the first time we went back without bibik. Bibik gave reason to stay behind and take care of the laundry that had piled up so high due to it raining everyday. I was fine with the idea since it was only for one day anyway.

We arrived in Melaka around 12pm and went straight to the wedding for lunch. Daria was such a darling; even in the hot weather, she was smiling all the way. The food was good and the crowd was almost non-existent, so we all gobbled down happily. After filling our tummies, we headed back to my in-laws.

Around 5pm, I put Daria down for a nap and then headed to Carref00re with hubby to buy some groceries. As we were on our way back, my MIL called; Daria was crying...no, screaming her lungs out. Apparently when she woke up, she got confused and when she couldn't find me, she freaked out and started crying.

When we arrived at our in-laws, my MIL was carrying Daria and trying to console her. Clad only in a towel, my poor girl was beside herself. When she saw me, she grabbed me and held on for life. It took me 30 minutes to quiet her down and stop her crying.

Until yesterday, she wouldn't let me out of her sight. When her grandma or aunts tried to carry her, she would start crying and searching for me.

Dear Daria. Please don't fret. I would never leave you eventhough I can not always be there physically for you.

David vs Goliath

A meager manager up against a VP in a heated meeting. 10 people talking at once, trying to make their point. Results of 3 months of hard work, looked down on by the vultures above.

Result? Everyone came out bloody and tired...with no clear winner.

Another round proceeds tonight..with more nights to come.

Let's get ready to rumble!!!!

Purest of Pain

This song used to be one of my favorites during Uni years. At that time, I was dating hubby and my room mates can stand witness to the fact, we sometimes had a turbulent relationship.

Everytime we had one of our fights, I would sit in my room, switch off all the lights and listen to this song over and over again. Talk about torturing yourself!!!

But I still love this song for its lyrics and beautiful melody.

*Youtube wouldn't let me embed the video here so just follow the link

Sorry didn't mean to call you but I couldn't fight it
I guess I was weak, couldn't even hide it
And so I surrendered, just to hear your voice.

Don't know how many times I said I'm gonna live without you,
And maybe someone else is standing there beside you,
But there's something, baby that you need to know.

That deep inside me, I feel like I'm dying.
I have to see you,It's all that I'm asking.

Chorus:
Baby, give me back my fantasy.
The courage that I need to live,The air that I breathe.
Living without you, my world's become so empty.
The days are so cold and lonely
And each night I taste the purest of pain.

I wish I could tell you I'm feeling better everyday
That it didn't hurt when you walked away
But to tell that truth I can't find my way

And deep inside me, I feel like I'm dying.
I have to see you, It's all that I'm asking.

Baby, give me back my fantasy.
The courage that I need to live,The air that I breathe.
Living without you, my world's become so empty.
The days are so cold and lonely
And each night I taste the purest of pain.

Baby, give me back my fantasy.
The courage that I need to live,The air that I breathe.
Living without you, my world's become so empty.
The days are so cold, lonely
And each night I taste the purest of pain.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to call you but I couldn't fight it.
I guess I was weak, couldn't even hide it
And so I surrendered just to hear your voice.

Dania's School Sports Day

Last Saturday was Dania's Sports Day. Both hubby and I had planned to go to her school to give support eventhough the school had discouraged parents to attend allegedly because of the H1N1 epidemic. Yeah right, like anything is going to stop me from jumping up and down, cheering on my girl from the sidelines.

This is Dina. She wanted to come also. Siap pakai kasut sukan lagi. She was supposedly to be Dania's main cheerleader but even before the event started, she complained about the heat and being tired. Hampeh punya cheerleader.

I had sms'ed Dania's teacher to inquire when the sporting events would start. 8am he said. Hmmm..yeah right, even at 9am, nothing had really started. Since we hadn't taken any proper breakfast, hubby took Dina and me to a nearby restaurant for some roti telur.

We went back to the school at 930am and Dania and her team mates had proceeded to the field to prepare for their event. It was another 1/2 hour until it was time for Dania's event to start.

The rules were simple; walk or run across a wooden bench, then jump over a hockey stick, go round some cones and run back as fast as you can. Pass the baton to the next person and go to the back of the line. Here's a video of Dania sprinting her way across the course.

video

The girls did ok but lack a bit of coordination when passing the baton. In the end, the green team got 3rd placing. OK la, each team member got a tupperware for their efforts. Better luck next time. What matters is that everyone had fun.

One Hurdle Down

Yahooooo!!! Finally, my presentation paper to management was presented and approved!! After going to the damn meeting 4 times and not being able to present (despite staying back until 11pm..uhuk!), we finally got a session this afternoon and finished the presentation in record time. Granted, the committee members were just as anxious to get the whole thing over with also. Hahhaa...bagus, lain kali macam tu. Approve je la..

Dania had her school sports day last Saturday. I'll update more on that in a later post. Oya, also as a treat, hubby took me and the girls for a karaoke session at Mid Valley. Heheheh..best woooo, dapat lepaskan tensen.

Well, I'm off to bed. Just because I've finished one work hurdle, that doesn't mean there aren't anymore ahead of me. But for the time being, let me just pat myself on the back one more time. Haha..

Later, peeps!

Not Again!!

At another presentation meeting right now. I was suppose to start my presentation at 5pm. It's now 630pm and they are currently arguing whether or not we should be presenting the slides to this committee in the first place.

ARGHHHH!!!!

Bleh tak bagi aku balik on time sekali sekala? Sedih tau tak dapat jumpa anak2 tiap2 malam...uhuk.

What la. I have a feeling that this is going take until midnight. Mati laaaa...

Raya 2009 - Day 2 & 3

We headed back to my in-laws on the first day actually, around 5pm. Traffic was light since most people were already back in their hometown. Before getting to my in-laws house, we took a detour to visit hubby's cousin who had just delivered a baby girl.
Here are the girls playing with sparkles in front of the house. Hubby kept watch while Daria didn't really care for all that smoke.

For the 2nd day of Raya, we really didn't go anywhere. My SIL was getting engaged the next day so we had a lot to prepare.

Day 3 and still we didn't go anywhere. Here are pictures from my SIL's engagement ceremony.
The self appointed flower girls. Apparently the theme was maroon. Luckily the girls already had the appropriate dresses.
The girls with their Maksu. The engagement dress actually belonged to my othe SIL but Su had added beads to make it her own.
Su with her future MIL.
The gifts from the families. The maroon colored ones were from our side while the turqouise ones were from Wan's side (Su's fiancee).
And we end with another cute picture of the girls. Hehehe..

My Friend's Loss

Last night I hardly got any sleep. Daria refused to sleep and insisted on playing instead. Remember she only went to bed at 10.30pm last night? She woke up at 1.30am, then again at 3.30am and then again at 6am. Then she totally refused to sleep again. OMG...I had already started to forget what it was like to wake up every 2 hours. The thing is, it wasn't because she was hungry or wet. She just wanted to play.

I hope there will not be any repeat of last night tonight. I could hardly function at work today. It's bad enough I have a tender report to finish up ASAP. Grrr...

********************************************************************************

Today I visited a friend. Her stepson passed away this morning. He had died due to a brain tumor. He was 6 years old.

Now this friend of mine, we used to be close. Then life happened and we drifted apart. We meet once in awhile on occasions; she came to see me when I delivered Dania, I visited her when she had her 3rd son. Visits were few and far apart, despite her living in Shah Alam, just a stone throw away from my parents house.

She married a Singaporean Pakistani and became his 3rd wife. While he was still married to the first two. OK, before any of you judge..let me tell you this: it works for her. Somehow, the whole polygamy thing...sharing a husband, staying in the same house with all the other wives...yeah, it's mind boggling and even I'm still trying to come with terms with it all, even after all this time. But this post isn't about that and is not meant to undermine her life, so let's move on.

Her late stepson is about the same age as her eldest boy, so naturally she was the one who breastfed the boy too. Kira jadi ibu susuan la member aku tu. See, harmony...but then again, moving on. Apparently the boy was having trouble concentrating in school and had slight hand tremors. The family took him for a check up and it was then they got the news that he had a big tumor at the base of his spine (behind the neck). It was untreatable since there were too many blood veins involved. This was in March. The boy went for radiation therapy and for a moment, the tumor shrunk to half its size. Then in July it became aggressive. A few weeks after that, the boy lost feeling in his left side. During his last days, he was unresponsive and had medication pumped in 24 hours to prevent him from having fits and choking on his own saliva.

He passed away around 730am today. Innalillahiwatainnahirajiun..

I almost didn't go and see my friend because of the insane workload I had but I'm glad my other friends insisted in dragging me there. For one thing I got to see my friend after so long. And also, I got a reminder about how fragile life is and how we should always cherish the ones we love.

To Y, be strong. I hope we'll meet again soon. Love you.

Raya 2009 - Day 1

Daria finally fell asleep at 10.30pm tonight, a record for her. Usually she sleeps at 8.30pm. Tonight she just wanted to play and hug. I think this is her way of telling me how much she misses me during the day. Hmmm..yet I hope this is just a one off thing and not the norm from now on.

I wanna blog about our Raya before it becomes too stale. This year, Raya was special because of the latest addition to our family. And boy, was Daria a big hit wherever we went. People wanted to hug her and carry her everywhere. And she loved every minute of it!! Needless to say, she got a lot of Raya money!! Hehehe...

Here are some pictures taken of the family during raya. This year we spent Raya morning at my maternal grandma's house in Keramat. All my cousins were there except for my Pakngah's children as they followed their mom back to her hometown.

These are all the female cousins and nieces. I'm the only girl in my family but I contribute three daughters so that balances things out. My aunt from Melaka has 5 daughters!! The eldest is now a doctor; she's the one at the back in the brown baju kurung. FYI, she's also single and looking so any available bachelors..ehem, please contact me if you're interested. Hehehe..If you look to the bottom left of the picture, you'll see part of my grandma's wheelchair. She cried when she say all of us together taking pictures; I guess she was just so happy everyone was with her to celebrate yet another Raya.

These are all the boys; from left to right: My youngest brother (Kamarul), Hubby, my 2nd brother who's getting married next year (Salehin), my 3rd brother (Zulhazmi), my cousin who has 5 sisters (Azad), the other 3 are brothers; Firdaus (orange baju melayu), Amirul (purple) and Aiman (silver). Missing are Hirzan and Faiz.
Here's Daria with her aunts; Makteh Taty and Maklong Aina. Aina's the doctor I mentioned earlier. Taty is currently studying medicine in Bandung. I bought the dress Daria's wearing at during the raya sale at my office. The tag said "for 1-2 years old". Muahahaha..Daria can wear it and she was just 4 months old.
Here are the girls again, minus Daria who had been kidnapped by her uncles. That's my mom's youngest sister on the far left, beside her daughter in the black headgear. Yeah...tell me about it, she doesn't look old enough to have a 18 year old daughter. Then again, people tell my mom the same thing!! People think we're siblings!!
Here's Daria getting to know her Paksu Aiman better. What can I say, the girl sure knows how to melt people's heart with her cheeky smiles and baby talk.

Those are just some pictures we took during the first day of Raya. It's getting late so I'll blog about the rest of Raya in another post.

Lagi-lagi Gambar Daria

Cet!! Ada2 je yang enter frame..
Ni si Daria tengah pandang apa ntah...Kak Ngah dia letak anak patung dalam bakul tu sekali kot. Letak gambar ni bukan apa, nak menunjukkan bulu mata anak aku yang amat panjang itu. Fuyooo, bukan palsu punya ya...asli, 100% ikut macam ibu dia. Wakakakaka...nak jugak puji bulu mata sendiri cantekkk!!
Dah bukak topi, bibik dia pakaikan sepit rambut lak. Dah tu Kak Ngah dia sumbat lagi soft toys banyak2 dalam bakul tu.
Punyala kotor seat tu..kena pinjam dek akak ngan cousin cik abang. Apala, tak pernah lap ke?! Last, ibu aku jugak yang sental ngan cif sebelum bagi Daria cecah bontot.
Gambar ni sikit gegar tapi aku suka sebab Daria tengah ketawa. Hubby cakap muka Daria nampak kecik; aku rasa dek rambut dia la. Bak kata adik ipar aku, macam rambutan! Hehehe...tapi aku suka sebab lembut sangat. Ni bibik dah crop sikit rambut dia tadi, nampak balik tembam pipi tu.

More About The Fishes

So these are the fishes the girls bought. At least this is what they looked like when they were still alive. Oya, Dory? Yep, she went to heaven also. RIP.
This is the tank my mom bought for the fishes. Dania chose the colorful stones. I bought the goumari fishes (ikan sepat). If they survive until this weekend, then I'll buy more of them. And maybe some of those plastic seaweed to decorate the tank. And also a small Plecostomus fish to help keep the tank clean. What's a Plecostomus? Orang Malaysia panggil ikan bandaraya laaa...

Nemo and Dory

Yesterday my mom came over. Since I had to work that day, I didn't meet her until I got home at 3pm. Hubby was out with the girls. Guess what they were doing?

Buying fish!!

Not the type you eat...the type you put in a bowl and watch swim.

Yep, hubby finally relented and bought the girls their very own goldfishes. One for each of them, except for Daria since she can't feed them on her own. Hehe.

The GREAT thing is hubby bought the fish and fish food....only!! Where the heck were the girls suppose to put the fish?!!

So in the end, my mom and I took the girls back to the fish shop to buy an aquarium. In the end, we also bought two more fishes (goumari), some colorful stones and some chlorine for the water.

Pandai cik abang, dia beli ikan sekor RM3, mak mertua dia kluaq duit beli benda lain sampai RM50. Hampeh tul!!

The girls were super excited about the fish. Bibik, not so much since she knew she would be the one cleaning out the tank everytime. Sabar je la bibik..layan je.

This morning when we woke up, one of the goldfishes had died. Terapung je badan dia. Dania cried a little bit which makes me anxious because if memory serves me right (I used to have goldfishes during my Uni years), there's always a very high potential the rest of the fishes are going to die soon. Hmmm....

ps: Nemo and Dory are the names of the goldfishes...I think Nemo is the one that died. Innalilah...

Stung

This was in the paper today. When I first read it, my heart nearly stopped. Recall this post? To think it could have turned out really badly for Dina and my bibik.

Thank god both of them go away with only one sting each.

So sad the same can't be said for these little children. To lose 3 children in one go...and at such a young age....oh dear god, I've started crying.

Work Slave

I need to blog here that I am currently in the office on a beautiful Sunday morning because I have 162 pages of tender documentation to print, make 4 copies of for 5 vendors, bind and bring with me to CBJ on Monday for our testing session.

This is not what I signed up for, people!!!

Fortunately I'm not alone. No, I dragged my staff out of bed to help me. I mean, who says I have to suffer alone. If I can't lounge around in my pajamas, watching Sunday Cartoons today, then no one can!!

Gaga

I know it's catchy but when you hear your 7 and 5 year old girls singing about taking a ride on someone's "disco stick", it's little bit unsettling.

I should lock MTV and Channel V during the day. It's getting waaayyy too raunchy during daytime. Same goes for channel Hitz.fm. Can we save all the "humping and grinding" video clips for after 10pm?

Sheeeshh!

Another Milestone Accomplished

Daria has learned how to roll over. And lucky me, I happened to be there when she first did it. Yesterday's meeting ended at 11pm (still considered "early" since it was scheduled for 12pm), so this morning I went to work a bit late.

I love playing with Daria and watching her smile. As she rolled onto her tummy the first time, she gave a HUGE grin from ear to ear!!
That's my girl!!

Old Friends

It’s 8.30pm and I’m still at the office. Our presentation session is about to begin but my part is still way into the future. Looking at the agenda, this meeting is scheduled to end at 12 midnight. Mampos!!

I hate going back home late. One main reason is because of the kids, especially Daria. Being only 4 ½ months old, she still needs to be breastfed in order to fall asleep at night. And it’s not only for her sake; I love those special minutes with her especially since sometimes it’s the only time I really get to be with her on weekdays.

Since I’ll be stuck here for another 4 hours, I’m taking this time to blog about my reunion with my dear friends, Amani and Rina.

I met A&R when we all joined The Company as scholars. This was 14 years ago. Man, I feel old.

First thing I noticed about A&R is how gorgeous they were. Me, on the other hand, didn’t know the first thing about make up or dressing up. As time went by, I learned that not only were these gals beautiful, they were funny, smart, kind, caring and CRAAAAZZZYYY!!

We spent 2 months together at ITM KL for our English course, except Rina had to cut the course early because she was selected to go to the US early. Amani and I became roommates and God bless her heart for bearing with me during my “Nirvana” days. Also for being there for me when I had my heart broken by my stupid crush on SA. OMG, how stupid was I then?

After the English course, we headed to Lumut for our OBS (Outward Bound School) course. Or what we all fondly recall as OUR TIME IN HELL. Blast you Rina for not having to go through this.

Amani, I can’t believe you actually miss our OBS days. Don’t you remember kayaking around Pangkor for 15 hours?? Fifteen!!! Having to run 5 km every morning! Having to do our business in the freaking woods! And having to eat uncooked canned meat for 10 days! God, even the sight of those cans make me sick.

Gal, you crazy. I said it before and I’ll say it again.

After OBS, Amani went to Canada while poor, old me stayed behind for my A-level course. We all tried to stay in touch as much as we could but I really missed our carefree days at ITM.

Years went by and we saw each other during special moments; when Amani got married, when I gave birth to Dania, whenever Rina came back to Malaysia for the holidays.

Last week, we all got together after not seeing each other in years. And blast those women, even after all these years, they still look gorgeous. We met up after work and Amani drove us all to MV. After much debating, we settled on Chillies as our destination for food.

We talked and updated each other about our lives. We reminisced about the good old days and laughed about how much we had all changed. We shared stories and secrets and reminded each other why we were each other’s kindred spirits.

Our time together was cut short by a phonecall from hubby who had gotten into an accident. Which I shall elaborate on in another post.

To my dear friends A&R, thanks so much for being there for me, throughout these years. Forgive me for all my shortcomings. I hope we meet again soon. Love you guys!!

A Birthday Note to Dina Yasmin - 5 Years Old

Dearest Dina,

Looking at my previous posts, it just dawned on me that I didn't write you a birthday note for your 4th birthday. Trying to remember why, it must have been due to my pregnancy with Daria. I would have been 6 weeks in; my HG would have just started.

I apologise my dear, it was not my intention to abandon my obligation during your special day.

For this year, your birthday fell during the raya month. For this reason (and because your abah didn't want the hassle of entertaining so many kids at the house...yeah, right, like he's the one doing the entertaining....or cleaning up...*eye roll*), we decided to celebrate your birthday at your school with your friends.

Our usual bake lady was busy so after much internet searching, I found this site on Kak Dilla's blog. Thank you so much Edina for entertaining my late request. The cupcakes you made for Dina really made her day. After we had picked them up from you the other day, she was so excited, she kept saying "I love my cupcakes!! I wanna hug them!!"
Your birthday fell on a Sunday but since we had several open houses to go to, we didn't get to have the family dinner as planned. But you being you never complained. Going to bed, you excitedly exclaimed, tomorrow ibu is coming to my school and bringing my cupcakes for my friends.

When you saw me at your school, you greeted me with a huge smile. Your teacher asked your classmates to sing Happy Birthday and you just couldn't stop smiling. You looked so proud giving out the cupcakes and goodie bags.

My dearest Buttercup,

It's amazing how big you are yet how manja you can still be at times. You're so funny and cheeky, you leave us all rolling on the floor laughing with the things you say. You're still into all things Princesses and for obvious reasons I wish you would stay like that forever.

I love hearing you read your books because you still have some pelatness. I love riding in the car and listening to you sing. You may not know all the words but you sure have the beat in you. I love smelling you after you've taken a bath; you smell like cool breezes and warm sunshine.

Thank you for all the smiles and laughter you've bought into our lives. Thank you for all the hugs and kisses.

My prayers for you this birthday is that you grow up healthy, happy and full of life. Just remember, no matter how big you grow up to be, you'll always be my cheeky, little girl.

I love you so much Dina and I hope you know everyday just how much I do.

Happy fifth birthday, my Beautiful

Love, ibu.
