Bebudak Sekarang Ni...

Yer, yer...post pasal Jepun tengah karang lagi ni. Sabar, sabar...akan ku tayangkan gambar bersama orang Sumo tak lama lagi. Hehehee..

Ni nak share something I got in my email from one of my classmates. Lawak giller.

Yang tukang bagi pinjam ada harapan nak jadi Ah Long in the future. Huhuhu...
Taking the saying "Out of sight, out of mind" literally. Bijaknya nyamuk2 area dia ni...bleh target rumah mana ada orang based on kasut kat luar rumah. Hahahahaa...
Awak, awak...awak sayang kita tak awak? Kita sayang awak tau..sayang sangat2!
Errr...sib baik la dulu masa aku sekolah takde kes2 gedik camni...tulis surat2 "cinta" pada lelaki...tolong la, please say I was not like this...takde kot...time sekolah takde sapa pandang pun kat aku...huhuhu..
Kalau aku jadi cikgu tengah tandakan kertas exam ni, mesti aku tersedak 10 kali baca jawapan ni. Hahahaha...tapi takleh nak salahkan anak murid, kira munasabah gak jawapan dia.

Lost in Translation

My staff gave me this recipe booklet the other day, apparently from a restaurant of a famous Malaysian chef. I laughed until I cried when I read the recipe instructions, translated in Malay (in italics).

For example, step #2.
Place paper cases in muffin tins.
Kertas tempat kes-kes dalam muffin mengetinkan.

And step #6.
Spoon the mixture into the paper cases and bake for 25 min or so until well risen and just firm.
(well risen = telaga naik? Just firm = sungguh tegas? OMG!!)

Step #2.
Add the prawns, stir fry for 2 minutes and then add in the vegetables.
Mesin daftar tunai goreng dimasak.
(I had to rack my brain a bit but I finally figured out "till" = mesin daftar tunai. Sigh.)

And step #4.
Serve immediately garnished with the chives and chili strips.

Step #4.
Thread a few chicken pieces into the wooden skewers.
(OMG...chicken = takut? Are you chicken??)

Step #6.
Alternatively, deep fry the satay and drain on absorbent paper.
(Drain = parit...oh, the humanity!!)

Step #2.
Pound the first 9 ingredients and smear on the fish slices.
(OK, by the time I was reading this part, I was laughing too hard and just trying to breathe.)

Step #2.
Add in the drained basmati rice and stir fry for 1 minute.
(Drained basmati rice = beras basmati sangat lemah. Mengapakahhhhhh!!!!)

Step #3.
Transfer to rice cooker, add water, milk, salt and colouring. Stir to combine well. Switch on rice cooker.
Memasang periuk nasi.

Ok..ok..I can't type anymore. I feel kind of bad for the chef who's name is associated with this recipe booklet, especially since his face is plastered on each page. This should serve as a lesson to all celebrities; please vet through everything that goes on in your business.

Just For Angah...

A gay couple had a wedding in UK and the marriage officer found it weird to call them husband and wife since they were both male. So after much thought, he decided on the following after the vows were read;

"I now pronounce you MAN-UNITED."

The Force is Strong With This One

Have you guys seen the latest VW ad, shown during the Superbowl? The one with the cute Darth Vader in it.

For those who are Football fans, you would not have missed it. For the rest of us, here it is below.

The.Cutest.Shit.Ever!!

I love how at the end, the little dude was like..DID YOU SEE THAT?? I AM AWESOME!! :))

The kid who played mini DV is 6 year old Max Page who was diagnosed when he was an infant with the heart defect Tetralogy of Fallot. Here he is in his interview on The Today Show.

Isn't he the cutest boy ever??!! He even looks like a young Mark Hamill.

Seems like the Force is Strong With This One. Now if only he can stop George Lucas from making crappy movies.

ps: Now I want a Passat!!!

Traffic Tweets

En Rashid signed me up to receive traffic tweets on my mobile phone. Since then, I've been obsessed with checking out the tweets from people who are, unfortunately, stuck in the bad traffic jams heading back to KL.

Examples:

Lotsa small brain peeps on highway right now...dahla pakai lorong kecemasan..pas2 bwk laju nak mampos!

Awesome speed of 2kmh climbing up genting sempah

Those who are stuck in traffic jam shouldn't complain because you are the traffic jam itself!!

Now I know what 8 hour jam feels like...trunk road thru Bidor town stop and go..see u tonite KL!

KL-bound from Raub is so bad, I can tweet from driver's seat!

Anjing sesat ditngh hway duk meratapi kematian kawannya...

kepada babi2 jgn benti la kat sg perak tu bukan sedap sngt pun. Buat sesak jln ja, nak mkn balik rumah laaa

And my favorite so far....

highway utara selatan jam akibat daraipada maya karin btolkan rantai beskal dekat exit tapah...ramai org berenti untuk melihat...

Muahahahahaaa....sib baik aku dah balik rumah semalam. Selamaaatttt!!

This is the only photo of her I have she answers to the name Missy and is black and white and about 8 months old. missing on Harper street and my phone number.
Thanks Shan.

Dear Shannon,
Having worked with designers for a few years now, I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window. I have amended and attached the poster as per your instructions.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.

Your Personality Revealed

I had forgotten about this so-called personality test due to all that's been happening until JAD reminded me in my last post. Ok, so here it goes.

Some of you (actually, only 2 people...muahahaha) have given your answers to my Phsycho test. Heee. Here are what the questions mean.

1) Think about your favorite colour and write down three adjectives describing that color.
The words you used to describe your favorite color is how you subconsciously see yourself.
My answer was Blue - calm, cooling, romantic. I have no comment other than calm??!! I can't remember the last time I was calm. And does one become cooling? Or should it read as cool? Because I'm definitely that...I'm the coolest Mom to walk Bangi ground. Just as my kids would agree. Heee.

MOTL said basically the same thing Blue - calm, cool and soothing. Soothing...wow, your husband must be one lucky guy :D.
JAD mentioned Red - bold, bright, pretty. Hehehehe...nice.

2)Think about your favorite animal and write down three words describing that animal.
The words used to desribe your favorite animal reveals how you think others see you.
My answer was Cat - aloof, independant, carefree. I would have to agree though I would like to be able to change people's perception of me being aloof. I am not a snob!! Carefree? Well, I try not to let the small things in life bother me much. Coz I'm cool, right?

MOTL said Cat - cute, cuddly and playful. I don't know if people calling me cuddly is a good thing...unless it's my husband or my kids. Other than that, cuddly could be interpreted as ...ehem...gedebab! Hehehe..
JAD put down giraffe: tall / elegant / thin. OK, I know JAD personally and she is no giraffe. Hahaha...ok la, bagi can...part elegant I will accept. :D

3) Now, think about an all white room. The walls are white, the floor is white, there is no sound in the room, no windows, everything is white. Now list three words to describe how that room makes you feel.
The words used to describe your feelings in a white room are how you subconsciously feel about your future.
My answer was - scary, quiet, alone. I need therapy. Stat!!

MOTL answered peaceful, lonely, dreamy. I think that would work well in an old folk's home. Hehehe..
JAD answered bored / sleepy / restless. I'm kind of worried for her....

4) Lastly, think about a body of water. Any body of water whether it's an ocean, river, stream whatever. List three words describing that body of water.
This one, well this one reveals how you like your sex.
My answer was Waterfall - refreshing, energizing, fast. Holy sex kitten-MILF-couger rolled into one!! I nearly fell off my chair when I saw what that question revealed. No comment...no comment...hahahahhaaa!

MOTL put down Ocean - endless, cool and exciting. Endless?!! Endless??!! Dasat!!
JAD replied waterfall = calm / serene / peaceful. I do not know that kind of sex...hahahaha..

Me Thinks The Cats Aren't Big Enough

Last weekend was spent at home, studying most of the time. Pergh..semangat waja zaman student sudah mai!! However, it didn’t take me long to realize that a) my brain is not as “young” as would like it to be, therefore understanding a simple paragraph requires 2-3 readings b) the paragraphs are not that simple to understand in the first place. Why la do you have to use all those bombastic words when simple English is sufficient to convey the message across?

I tried doing the assignments for ME but only succeeded in answering one (out of 4). I seriously think one of the answers at the back of the book is WRONG!! Huh, nevermind, the prof said we would discuss the assignments next week so I’ll just give them another try this weekend.

Other than that, the weekend was rather lowkey, which was nice for a change. En Rashid kept himself busy sending all the cars for various repairs. Here’s hoping none of the cars give anymore problems in the near future; we’re still paying off our HK trip!!

Oya, you might be wondering, what the heck does this post have to do with the title? Here’s what.

Why Not Macam En Rashid?

I saw this article in the newspaper a few weeks back. Somehow it made me laugh out loud. Not that I'm making fun of the guy; no...kudos to him for becoming thinner and healthier. It's just sometimes the headlines make me scratch my head...knowing tabloids, I guess someone has to create all these "sensational" headlines. The original Salman Khan.....the same?!!

Conversation made yesterday between myself, Dania and Dina.

Scene: In the kitchen, getting ready to go for a birthday party.

Me: Dalam bakul tu. Tempat biasa la.

Dania: Takde pun. Mana sikat ni?!

Me: Ada la dalam tu. Cuba carik betul-betul.

Dania: Kaklong dah carik dah. Takde.

Mana nak jumpa?

Dina: *Tetiba menyampuk* Dina suka carik pakai kepala lutut!!

Everyone: *huh*? Hahahahahahaa.....sabar je la..

Almost To Funny To Be True

3 days of brainstorming during the workshop has fried my brain. To reset my state of mind, I present to you funny things I read/found out.

Student suspended for passing gas on bus: Driver writes up teen on misbehavior form; eighth-grader denies offense

LAKELAND, Fla. - An eighth-grader was suspended from riding the school bus for three days after being accused of passing gas.

The bus driver wrote on a misbehavior form that a 15-year-old teen passing gas on the bus on March 16 to make the other children laugh, creating a stench so bad that it was difficult to breathe. The bus driver handed the teen the suspension form the next day.

Polk County school officials said there's no rule against flatulence, but there are rules against causing a disturbance on the bus.

The teen, Jonathan Locke Jr., said he wasn't the culprit.

"It wasn't even me," Locke told The Ledger newspaper. "It was a kid who sits in front of me."
Whether he did it or not, he might have gotten off easy. A 13-year-old student at a Stuart school was arrested in November after authorities said he broke wind in class.

Holy crap, if that isn't the funniest, most insane thing I've read in a while. Isn't it considered healthy to "let go" of wind in your stomach? Plus, what the heck could the boy have ate to cause such a stench? Hadn't the bus driver ever thought of just opening the window? So many questions....hahahhaha...

Image of the day

Here's something to test your quick mind. See if you can see what's MAJORLY wrong with the picture below? More points if you see it in 10 seconds.

Quick facts about the photo: It was posted in Ebay as the seller wanted to sell off his old dining table.

Post your answers in the comments. Heheee...

Only In Malaysia

Malaysia is well known for many things...lush forests, beautiful beaches, great food. Yeah, those are what the tourism people are all shouting about. However there are some even better, funnier things that only people in Malaysia are known for doing and doing well.

Picture 1: Showing a "don't care" attitude. Who cares if this bench is slanting and could collapse at any moment? The people in this government office sure don't and the public waiting to be served couldn't care less. Hey, I'm tired, my number is 148 and it's only showing 33, there's a free seat and I'm sitting here! If I fall to the floor, it'll be a short trip anyhow.

Picture 2: Trying to make a wet string stand, in other words "menegakkan benang yang basah". Obviously these grasscarp fish are not "alive" but they were 3 minutes ago. No, seriously, I think they are just sleeping. Or maybe these 2 fishes somehow knocked their heads together and they're just dizzy.

Picture 3: Showing artistic skills. Like you know the policemen who patrol from this police hut are just grateful for the "fine" artwork on their hut. So tastefully done, it almost takes your eyes off the crooked wooden door that's about to fall off.

Picture 4: Improvising the English and Malay language. As long as you know what they mean, who cares if they spell "car park" as "kapak". Which actually means "axe" in English. But then, does this mean if I park my car here, you're ok with it or will you cut my car into two? Now I'm confused.

Picture 5: Creative advertising. Do you know how many glass and aluminium shops there are in Johor? How are you going to make your shop stand out amongst the crowd? I know, why not be "creative" and hang the signboard upside down? People will certainly notice it then!! Whether or not they'll be able to read it and understand what the hell you're selling is another story but hey, you're being creative!! That should count for something.

Picture 6: Making every second count. Don't you just hate it when you go out to a restaurant with friends or family and you take forever to order because there's always someone who needs to use the restroom? Now you don't have to worry because those bladder-challenged friends of yours can now order there food from the comfort of the toilet!!

Picture 7: Being family-oriented. You need to buy some groceries but there's no one to look after the kids. What's a mom to do? Why, bring them along of course...and put the trolley to good use. Not only do you get your shopping done, the kids get their mid-day rest and you've done some family bonding as well. Bravo, bravo!!

Modern Day Scrooge

I'm not really the type to socialise with my neighbors. Most of our daily contact revolves around us saying good morning when I go to work and good evening when I come back. We don't exchange recipes or child rearing tips. Once in a while we would give each other fruits brought back from kampung. But that's it.

I would however like to think my relationship with my neighbors are a bit more friendlier than this guy. I don't think he's into sharing recipes either.

....And I'm Not Saying He's Gay....

I'm in the office, first one here coz it's 7.40am and no one in their right mind comes to work this early. I have an afternoon meeting somewhere else which I should have got straight to but instead had to come to the office first to pick up some presentation slides. For the afternoon meeting. Which I have a dreaded feeling may last up to midnight. God help me!! And forgive me for the incoherence in my sentences, it's just waaayyyy to early in the morning to be sober.

I knew this was coming, I knew I had to wake up early this morning and be freaking early to work but still I slept late last night. All thanks to Youtube and delightful video clips of the wonderful comedian, Kathy Griffin.

I just love her!! I give you one of my favorite clips where she disses Ryan Seacrest.
