Argh, it's been ages since I've been here. Sorry guys, been really hectic. I have yet to complete my case study (due end of the month!!) and what with raya coming up, I dunno when I'm gonna get it done. WTH have I been doing for the past 2 months?
Oya, work. Lots of work. Work, work, work, work, work. Huh...
Anyways, boring. I have loads to tell you but will have to wait until after raya.
Just wanted to wish everyone Happy Fasting and Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin. Be safe on the roads and have fun with family and friends.

Smooth
I waxed my legs for the first time this morning.
Now I know why women do it.
Once I rubbed lotion all over them, man!! Were my legs smooth. Smoother than a baby’s bottom.
I should know. I actually tested them against Daria’s bottom.
I showed hubby and he was impressed.
Actually, what he said was “that’s an improvement” but let’s just make believe he was so enamored by smooth legs that he jumped me there and then and….ok, maybe we shouldn’t go there.
Smooth.
And I can’t stop rubbing them myself.

It's Been One Of Those Days
It all starting with the phonecall I received yesterday from the University.
Uni Clerk: Mrs Azlina, this is regarding your application for ...... It's incomplete. We still need one passport photo and a copy of your latest payslip. Also, your 1st degree is not accredited by JPA so we need you to get a Letter of Credentials from them.
Me: Huh? What?
Uni Clerk: Yeah...oh, and we need them by this Friday.
Shit!! I thought everything was in order. All those things weren't mentioned in the website. Plus, thanks for calling me at 5.30pm, when it was too late for me to do anything that late.
Luckily today I only had one morning meeting. I sms'ed my boss about the situation and she agreed to give me half day to settle everything.
This morning when I woke up, I saw spots all over Daria's body. Great!! Measles! No wonder she had been having the fever off and on for the past 3 days. I took her to the clinic and the doctor verified the case. She gave us some calamine lotion and told me to make sure that Daria got lots of fluids, coconut water being the best.
Since the clinic only opened at 9am, I arrived at the office around 10am. Luckily there was available parking in the basement. I rushed to the meeting, determined to get out before lunch. Unfortunately the meeting dragged on until 12pm. Then my emails acted up and refused to leave the outbox. After rebooting my laptop (dammit, I need a new one!!), I finally cleared all pending emails and packed up my stuff to leave.
But I was hungry. Starving even. So I took my officemate out for a quick lunch. In the end, I took off for JPA around 245pm. luckily traffic was light and I arrived there in record time. After driving around looking for parking (the signage sucks!), I headed to the 6th floor.
As it turns out, I was required to show my scholarship offer letter or student visa to get the letter. What?!! That was like 16 years ago!! I asked the lady there if there was any other way. She said, since I wasn't under a JPA scholarship, I had to show proof that I was a student like 10 years back.
Fine!! Let me go back and rummage through my pile of stuff at home and try to find my old passport!!
I rushed home but not before I made a quick detour to buy Daria some coconuts. I basically made a mess of my bedroom searching for my old passport. Luckily ada!!
It was already 4pm. The office closed at 5pm but knowing government...hmm, it would be more like 445pm. As I drove out onto the highway....what? What was this?!
Are you freaking kidding me?!! A roadblock??!! For the love of....I'm in a rush here, people!!
Ok, roadblock over. But that cost me 10 minutes. Wait, something's blinking.
GREAT!! Just super!! I need to stop for fuel now.
OK, calm down, petrol station is just ahead. Drive in, pump fuel and drive out in 10 minutes. Wait...oh, crap...I pumped the expensive fuel. Ok, that's enough...RM20 should do it. En Rashid can fill up the tank later.
Drive..drive..reach the JPA at 430pm. Sign in and get to the 6th floor. Give all the forms required and wait for the letter. Hmm....as expected, most of the staff started going home at 445pm. Hah!!
But at least I got the letter. However seeing it was already nearly 5pm, there was no way I could get to the University to submit everything before the office closed today. Plus I still hadn't done my passport photo. Crap, might as well head home.
I called the Uni and they said I could send everything in by hand Friday morning. Hmm..ok la.
Footnote: Daria's doing a bit better but she's become very clingy and fo the first time, refused to eat. Poor baby.

Omnitrix Included?
I saw this car yesterday during my visit to the outlets. Pergh..eventhough I have three girls, I know of this cartoon character. I almost wanted to wait to see who the owner was.

Coming Soon...Is Subjective
Just because the PROJECT has launched, doesn't mean things have slowed down at work. Arghhh, if anything, things are picking up speed again, now that lots of customer's "feedback" have started coming in.
Sabar Long, sabar.....
I owe so many posts, all half done. I'll try to get some up within this week. About Genting, about Dania's prize giving ceremony and other stuff that's been going on at Casa Along.
Till then, be good people.

Nothing Interesting
I had to work on the weekends!!
Plus, my day date yesterday was a bust!! We ended up shopping for groceries at Carre4!! How uninspiring.
Also, I seem to have misplaced my Metr0Jaya vouchers. That's RM300 worth of vouchers gone...don't know where.
On a happy note, it's a short week this week thanks to Friday being a public holiday. Hmm..maybe not so happy for me since there's a chance I have to come for work. Sob!

Mau Tutup ke Takmo Tutup
I was reading Metro today and as always, I read the daily sms comments that come in (highly addictive). There were a few that expressed their unhappiness at this particular advertisement.
Apparently they are upset that the model is wearing a head gear and all, but also wearing see-thru outfit. Ketat lagi tu! But then, it is a weight management ad, what do you expect.
Personally I think the model could have shown some courtesy and NOT wear a see-thru outfit. Or, since her "before" picture showed her without any head gear, forgo the head gear in the "after" picture too.
Heeeee....itupun mau kecoh!!

Books and Upin & Ipin
So yesterday we all went back to my mom's house. I had told hubby about the M.P.H book sale and by the way my mouth was salivating over the thought of being in proximity with thousands and thousands of books for sale, hubby knew it would be in his best interest to indulge me. Hehe.
We arrive at Bj around 11am, then after dropping of Daria and Bibik, we headed to Stadium Malawati. Since it was a Sunday, the outdoor market was also taking place so parking was kind of a nightmare. Hubby dropped me and the girls first before trying to find a shady place to park.
I had told the girls about the coloring contest but alas, in our haste to get to the stadium, we had forgotten to bring any coloring pencils. Fortunately the girls were ok and soon they were going through the heaps of books laid out, searching for something to buy.
The book sale was ok, most of the books were 20% off. I would say 70% of the books catered for kids, so I bought a few for Daria (since she only has that one "touch and feel" book) and a few for the Dania and Dina.
The Magical Tales and Fairy Tales books were quite cheap, considering they were hard cover and each had like 15 stories in the. Tinkerbell was a compromise between Dania and myself; she wanted to buy this bracelet and bead making set. I told her she could only buy books so she choose this. Flipping through it, I saw that it was exactly the same as the Tinkerbell movie that had been playing on TV (for 10 times already) but it was going cheap so it didn't matter.
There were lots of books catered for babies and toddlers but I pick these two because Dania and Dina could read them to Daria, if they wanted to. Both were hard cover and very colorful. Daria was somewhat interested in the books when I presented them to her. She was more interested in putting them in her mouth, if anything else! Hahaha..
Of course, after buying books for the girls, I had to find some for myself. I was searching for more of The Keeper books by Terry Goodkind, alas none where to be found. So I settled for an old friend instead; John Grisham.
I already have most of his books, so it was a task finding ones that I didn't. Being a book sale, most of the books were all over the place, despite numerous M.P.H personnel trying to rearrange the books according to author. I think these books are going to last me a week. I'm already 3 pages through the 1st one.
After paying for the books, we headed to the stage to await the main event; Upin and Ipin appearances. The girls are fans of the cartoon and were very excited.

The girls, while waiting for the mascots to appear.
After 20 minutes waiting, they announced the arrival of Upin and Ipin. As expected, all the kids went crazy and started to rush the stage. Fortunately, crowd control was pretty efficient, if not, matila maskot tu kena serbu.
They had a short quiz session and then gave out prizes for the coloring contest. Then it was photo time. I asked the girls to go nearer to the stage so I could take a picture of them with U&I. However, due to the rush from the other kids, posing and taking pictures was just out of the question. So the girls took pictures with Kak Ros instead.
Jadi laaaa.....:D.

A Short Sweet Weekend with Family and Friends
After more than a month, we headed back to my parents house last weekend. My dad was very happy to know we still knew the directions to his house. Hahahaha...apala, it wasn't our fault (entirely) that we all had the pink eye for a whole month!!
We arrived on Saturday morning eventhough my parents were still at a wedding in Johor at the time. Dania and Dina were very happy as they got to play with their new scooters my mom had bought for them.
I had to leave a few minutes after we arrived since it was my day with the girls, hi-tea at Crowne Plaza courtesy of Lin. Thanks Lin, best giller makan. Post and pictures coming soon.
That very night, I took the girls to visit my grandma in Keramat. Sian wan, we haven't been to visit her since raya!! Unacceptable. As expected, my grandma shed happy tears seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We stayed until 10pm, then headed back with promises to visit again real soon.
Sunday was spent lazing around with the girls since bibik and Enon went out for their own "hi-tea" session. Hehehehe, bagi can la...sian bibik dah lama tak kluar.
So today it's back to work. Good thing I have morning and afternoon meetings in Cyber, no need to drive all the way to HQ. Ahhh...Monday blues minimized slightly.

Juara Lagu...Layan
Tengah tengok Juara Lagu. Sib baik bibik ingatkan.
Aku tak paham persembahan Bunkface. Maybe sebab aku bukan golongan yang minat indie kot. Hindi ke Indie, sila jawab Faisal Ismail?
Tadi tengok Stacy menyanyi, aku komen "Dasat la minah ni, menyanyi dah la menjerit, joget lagi. Stamina kuat."
Ada lak En Rashid menjawab..."Orang Iban."
Huh? Apa kena mengena?
"Ye ah...orang asli. Memang stamina kuat."
Oi, cik abang sayang. Stacy ni dari Sabah. Orang Iban tu dari Sarawak.
Sah la, sejarah mesti fail time sekolah.
Aizat ni dulu gemuk yer? Sori la, aku tak tengok AF. Kejap aku google kejap....

Ha'ah la. Camne da kurus sekarang? Dasat. Tabik spring kat dia.

A Short Update
I just got back my laptop yesterday. They had to replace the hard disc in the end since there were so many viruses attached.
Tu la...sapa soh abang pakai laptop Along download movies bittorrent ni??!! Kan dah banyak virus menghinggap!!
Actually I can't blame hubby that much for downloading all those movies; most of them were my request in the first place. Hehe. But he should know better than to download those with viruses. Bukan patut ada antivirus ke laptop aku ni? Hmm..whatever it is, after I got back my laptop, I found out some of my files were missing. Dik Sapura oi, I told you if any of my files went missing, I'll retire!! You need to come back and find those files, one way or another.
I still owe a post about my mom's birthday celebration, our iftar gathering with friends and also Daria's latest pictures. My mom has been bugging me to print some photos of the girls for her to frame. Ketahuilah ibu dearest, Along dah tak print gambar sejak tahun 2005 lagi! Everything is stuck within my home laptop. If that laptop goes missing, there goes all those memories. Hmmm...maybe I should print out the pictures. I have 3 empty albums at home because of this fact.
This morning, hubby told me we may be going back to Melaka this weekend. Hmm...baru nak berehat kat rumah. It's ok la, since I'm such a Mithali wife, follow je la. I'll bring my laptop with me so I can update my blog. Kalau tak, keje terbongkang je la aku nanti.
Have a great weekend, everybody!!

Tired
Why is it you always feel more tired after a long holiday? Or is it just me?
This is how I feel nowadays.
Or like this.
Minus the beer bottle, of course.
It doesn't help I have meetings and workshops scheduled everyday this week and the next. HELP!!!!

A Very Short Update
Sorry for abandoning my blog for so long. Work has been busy and when I get a time to rest, I’m poofed out on the couch or on bed. Late pregnancy really has slowed me down to the point I’m dragging my feet when I walk.
Topics I need to blog on when I have the time and energy:
1. Our move to the new office – how it’s been so far.
2. My new camera charger. Finally!! Pictures to accompany post.
3. Our housewarming sessions. Yes, we had 2 separate ones; one for the neighbors, another for officemates and friends. Penat nauzubillah!!
4. My latest doctor’s appointment @ 31 weeks. Hubby accompanied me for this one.
5. Free trip to Zoo Negara.
OK, I’m working 2 days this week, then taking Wednesday – Friday off. Supposedly to take the girls out and about during the school holidays but we’ll see how up to it I am.

Little Boy By The Road
This morning as I was driving to work, I passed by an Islamic school. I saw a disturbing sight; this small boy in uniform crying on the side of the road. He seemed like he wanted to flee the school compound but was being held back by some other boys from the school. Bigger boys. There were 4 of them. I think there were some female students too, but they just seemed to be spectators.
I can still that small boy in my mind. I wonder what he was doing near the school's gate and why he was crying. The other boys didn't seem to be hurting him, just trying to prevent him from leaving the school.
I wish I had stopped to ask what the matter was. Maybe I could have called a teacher to attention of the situation. Damn, but I was already late for work and....hmmm.
I hope the boy is ok.

Random Stuff Going Through My Head Right Now
1. I love the new house. I can't begin to describe the feeling of coming home and feeling....at home. It seems like while the whole process of moving was such a hassle, once the dust settled, everything else fell into place too. My pregnancy has progressed well (23 weeks and counting!!). I no longer have amnesia or chronic MS. Everyone has adapted nicely to the changes. Even the neighbourhood seems much nicer. The weather seems crispier. It's a great start to the new year for our family.
2. We got a new king sized bed for the master bedroom. Therefore we had to buy new sheets. Since they give 2 pillow cases in the set, why not 2 booster pillow covers as well? You can assume that 2 people will be sleeping on a king sized bed. As a result, hubby has to use the old booster pillow casings. Hehehe...
3. I am hungry...all the time. Which is so much better than no being able to eat, so I'm not going to complain.
4. Dina has shown tremendous progress at her new school. All my fears of her not wanting to go to school have been set to rest.
5. The girls go to bed at 8.30pm on a school night. Which would have resulted in more cuddling time for hubby and me if not for the fact that we go to bed at 9.30pm or 10pm. Heeee....

Happy 2009 Everyone!
Sorry for the long silence. Things have been very hectic these past weeks; moving to the new house and getting the girls settled at their new schools. I go back to work tomorrow after a very long holiday so the hecticness continues!!
I will update more on the new house (I love it!!) and the girls and their new schools (they love it!!) in another post so until then, just a few words to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas (can you believe some stores are still playing Christmas songs?), Happy Awal Muharam, Happy New Year and may 2009 be prosperous and fruitful for us all.

Better
Heee, I didn’t expect other people to be more pissed off about Anonymous comment than I was. In the years that I’ve been blogging, if there’s one thing I’ve learned is that what I write is what I feel at that time and like any other stuff put out into the public domain, is open to critics and comments. I can’t stop people from saying what they say but I can control how I want to feel about it. I find the best way to handle stuff like that is to take everything with a pinch of humor (as Anonymous should have with my post) and let it roll off my back. The younger-me maybe would have lost sleep over it but the now-me just can’t be bothered. Life is too short to nit and pick at every single bad thing that come my way.
But I really must give a huge shout out to all my friends who did come to my defense via email and YM. In a weird way, I guess I owe thanks to Anonymous too, coz your comment did not hurt me as maybe intended but actually brought out my true friends to my side.
******************************************************
And more good news....I think my MS is started to subside..FINALLY!! Eating is no longer as torturous as it was before, though keeping the food down is still a battle sometimes. I’m no longer nauseous 24/7 (it comes in waves instead of constant all the time) but certain smells and sights do still bring me down. Mornings are still a bit iffy for me but I find once I’ve gotten over the initial fatigue feeling and get my ass moving, I can make it through the day. Fainting spells also haven’t happened since last week so hopefully none of that anymore. I still get tired easily but fortunately my boss has been very lenient on the amount of workload I have.
I still have insomnia which may be the cause for my tiredness in the morning but so far remedies like reading a book, watching TV and drinking hot chocolate hasn’t worked for me. My doctor refuses to give me any sleeping pills seeing how drugged up I already am so bedtime has been a bit frustrating. Now that I’ve started work again, I don’t take any afternoon naps. By right, I SHOULD be tired at night but sometimes I find myself blinking away even at 3am. Hubby says it’s because I’ve been thinking about so many things lately; work, being sick, the kids, etc. I dunno…maybe, but I wish I could sleep better. If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears (or more eyes in this case).
But overall, I’m doing much better. Not 100% as I would like to be but at least I can function somewhat. Hopefully the time will come when I can truly start to enjoy this pregnancy and not associate it with being sick or HG.
