Some of my friends have commented on my last entry, saying that hearing me tell the story to them in Malay was much funnier than reading it in English. So for their sake, here’s the actual transcript of what was said the other day at the car dealer.
“Ibu, beli ah kereta ni. Bestlah”.
“Kak Long suka ke?”
“Ha’ah. Ibu dengan abah dok depan, bawak kereta. Kak Long dengan adik dok belakang macam ni. Bestlah”
“Best dok belakang macam ni?”
“Ha’ah. Best. Rasa macam naik lori sampah.”
