2006 So Far...

It's been ok. Surprisingly work has been…what’s the work…not sucky? I’ve taken the first week kind of slowly, putting my time management skills to the test. Always draw up a daily plan of what you intend to achieve each day before starting work. Just writing down “THINGS TO DO TODAY” every morning sends shivers down my spine. This is the year I’m gonna be Employee of the Month, so help me God!!

Hahahaha..kidding aside, 2006 has been rather kind to me so far. The kids have been exceptional adorable, if that was ever possible. It’s like they’ve made their own resolution “This year, we will not drive ibu and abah up the wall.” How I wish it were so. Money wise, still the same but I’m not complaining much. I’ve accepted the fact that I won’t be buying an MPV soon but have cushioned the fact with a promise to save up for one when #3 comes along. When will that be, you may ask? Well, not this year…not so soon. But I’ll let you in on a little secret…come December 31st, the shop will be open again my friends. Hahahahaha….be prepared to read more posts of morning sickness, constipation and projectile vomiting then.

We have a few vacations planned for this year. Hopefully we’ll be taking the Langkawi trip that was postponed either later this year or early Feb. Then there’s the honeymoon trip to Bali in May. Then, insya’allah (fingers crossed) there’s the family vacation overseas end of the year. So far we have only Hong Kong Disney on the itinerary as we are thinking of fun places for the kids, and what better place to take them to then the HAPPIEST PLACE IN THE WORLD? And all this while hubby thought it was IKEA during sale season. Shows what he knows..hah!

This year I’ve decided to do more things for myself. You know…things I like to do but never got around to do because I always felt guilty leaving the kids with hubby at home. I’ve decided to make facial and spa appointments every quarter. Just 4 blissful hours to myself, having people pamper my entire body, without having to deal with work or family. I feel by pampering myself once a while, I’ll become a better person, a better mother, a better friend, a better lover. See? Everybody wins!!

2006 is so full of promises and dreams. Just hope I’m still this enthusiastic come February.
